JBL Tune 120 TWS, a very good headset from JBL – review

JBL Tune 120 TWS is a Bluetooth headset from JBL. TWS stands for “True Wireless Sound”. Likewise other JBL products, JBL Tune 120 TWS have an amazing audio system with powerful bass reproduction.

The case is a bit bigger than others’ headset on the market. The size of the case is justified by a bigger battery though. The case guarantees music reproduction for up to 12 hours. While the pods, when fully charged, can play music for up to 4 hours. The case is also working as a power bank to recharge the pods.

Features and connectivity

On the front, you have 3 LEDs that indicate the battery status. The headset has BlueTooth 4.0. The pods are very comfortable to wear. The JBL Tune 120 TWS comes also with silicone ear tips for the pods, in order to make them more comfortable and fit to the shape of your ears.

The headset is compatible with Google Assistant and Siri. So you can use it to interact with your smartphone and also answer your calls without using your hands. The case can be charged using its Micro-USB connector, a little old fashioned style (I would have expected a USB-C type connector).

JBL 120 TWS comes in different colors: black, white, green, yellow, pink, and blue. The overall weight (case plus earbuds) is about 73 gr, which makes it very comfortable when having it in your pocket as well.

The astonigshing audio quality, typical of JBL audio systems, makes the headset a very good choice. The price is about 80 dollars.
